DEVATOP initiates THE ACADEMY FOR PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND OTHER MATTERS (TAPHOM).

To put an end to these evil acts called human trafficking, rape & violence against women, DEVATOP has initiated THE ACADEMY FOR PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND OTHER MATTERS (TAPHOM).   TAPHOM commences on  10th and 11th July, 2015; in collaboration with National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

THE ACADEMY FOR PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND OTHER MATTERS (TAPHOM) is a 21st century  knowledge-based center with strategic approach to combating and preventing human trafficking & other related matters. TAPHOM is also the Training of Trainers(ToT). The trained trainers will be equipped with materials, skill, etc to cascade the information about combating human trafficking, rape & violence against women to primary/secondary/tertiary schools, families, communities, community groups/leaders, etc.

TAPHOM activities will be:

1. Training of women, youths, students, victims, vulnerable girls, educators, etc on anti-human trafficking, human rights, and advocacy.

2. Workshop for schools, religious organizations, community leaders, parents, and women organizations.

3. Counseling victims of human trafficking, rape, violence against women and referring them to rehabilitation centers.

4.  Research  on human trafficking and other related matters

5. Publication of information/educational materials on human  trafficking and other related  matters.

6. Online campaign against human trafficking, etc
