WESA pays Courtesy Visit to Executive Governor of Kogi State.


The WESA executive director, Amb. Bridget Oyiza was on a courtesy visit to the 4th Executive Governor of Kogi State His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello  to discuss on women empowerment.

The founder, Amb. Bridget Oyiza drew his attention on the importance of collaborating with stakeholders(civil organizations) to enable them carry out activities of great benefit to women of Kogi state and the society at large.
Ambassador Bridget told reporters, "to actualize vision 2030 of the SDG's we at WESA believe that the key to a sustainable development, is through empowerment and engaging Women. We seek his support to make it a reality. His Excellency gave us a warm reception and commended our effort in making a difference and encourage us to do more, as the world will be a better place if only we join hands with the government"

She briefed His Excellency on the objectives of WESA ,as well as her various activities undertaken to empower Widows in Kogi State, and some part of Nigeria.
In his response, His Excellency warmly appreciated the WESA Foundation, and her executive director Miss Bridget Oyiza Isa for their kind and humanitarian services ,which has touched the lives of many women,as such has done Kogi State proud. He described the WESA Founder as a role model and a personality worthy of emulation. His Excellency concluded by pledging  support of his Government for WESA through the office of Her Excellency, and the Kogi State Ministry of Women Affairs.

It is also important to recall that on 28th December 2016, WESA empowered more than 39 widows in Okene, the Kogi Central on skill acquisition(Production of Liquid soap, Coconut oil, Petroleum Jelly, Cake, Puf-Puf, etc) 


Moreover, WESA  has has provided material and financial supports to Internally Displaced Camps in Nasarawa state.
